Vision statement:

To quickly become a material producer of renewable fuels with near term primary focus in the US market. The three pillars of Velocys’ strategy are:

1. Business model

We initiate and drive the development of biorefineries from concept to full operations. By taking increased control of multiple projects, we reduce delivery risk and accelerate growth. We earn equity stakes in the projects we develop, as well as deriving ongoing revenues from technology supply and service contracts.

2. Leverage capabilities

We work seamlessly with our partners to deliver modular, fully integrated, financeable, cost-effective and operations-ready biorefineries. Using Velocys’ engineering and operational expertise as well as our proprietary technology, we continuously improve our complete offering.

3. Strategic partnerships

Our alliances, including manufacturing, gasification, product offtake and feedstock supply, are with strategic partners that have the resources, scale and capabilities to access large, high value markets at pace.

The future

We want to deliver an affordable fuel supply that drives the economy forward as well as meeting environmental concerns. It is an urgent priority for us all.

We believe Velocys’ proven technology, processes and deployment know-how will be in ever-increasing demand from businesses, governments and consumers to deliver renewable fuels at scale.

We expect our readily deployable fuel manufacturing process to be increasingly used in multiple locations close to sources of sustainable feedstocks – places where there is a need to make the most of existing waste materials, a desire for cleaner fuel, a need for local jobs and a sustainable fuel source for the future.

We believe that the combination of our business model, our technology and our team provides a competitive advantage in delivering multiple cost effective, financeable plants producing cellulosic renewable fuels.

From the United States to the world

Currently our efforts are focused mainly on the US. However, the Velocys strategy is applicable anywhere in the world facing similar challenges. We can transfer our knowledge to other geographies and our technology is now standardised and scalable. Our biorefineries will enhance energy independence, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create jobs and encourage the sustainable economic development of local economies.
