Terry Mazanec
Chief Scientist
Dr. Terry Mazanec manages joint development programs at Velocys. He is responsible for guiding the overall development program, meeting milestone objectives and maintaining budget commitments.
Prior to joining Velocys, Terry worked with BP Chemicals for 20 years. He was the lead scientist in BP's alliance with five other companies to develop an innovative gas conversion process. Terry also served as principal investigator on government-funded programs and managed more than $40 million in research and development projects involving international petroleum and chemical companies. He has 25 years of experience in catalysis, materials, process development and project management. Terry holds 40 U.S. patents and has 18 published papers. Terry has an A.B. in Chemistry from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from The Ohio State University.
