Jan Lerou
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Jan Lerou leads the Experimental Operations team, which is responsible for all catalyst, device, and system testing and related activities.
Jan has nearly 30 years of experience in leading catalysis, process engineering and experimental programs in the chemical and informatics industries. Prior to joining Velocys, he served as Chief Technology Officer of NovoDynamics, a discovery informatics company. Jan also worked previously with DuPont in a variety of research and management positions. He holds nine patents and has authored or co-authored over 40 publications. Jan holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Catholic University Leuven, and a Ph.D. from the University of Gent, both of which are in Belgium.
