Tom Hickey
President & Managing Director
Tom Hickey leads technology development operations and broadly assists in furthering the growth of Velocys.
Tom has over 30 years of process design, technology marketing and management experience in the petrochemical, refining, and energy industries. He joined Velocys from ABB Lummus Global where he served as Technology Division Vice President as well as Deputy Managing Director for CDTECH, a Lummus partnership with Chemical Research and Licensing. At CDTECH, Tom was responsible for commercializing new technologies based on catalytic distillation and establishing CDTECH as the industry leader in this field. Tom holds both a bachelor and master in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College and an MBA from University of St. Thomas.
